Aside from Wairakei Resort and Sport and Spa we have worked on a variety of hotels and motels. These included preparing designs for upgrading meeting rooms, the gymnasium & spa and the board room at the Rotorua Millennium Hotel, and redesigned the concert and hangi room and related facilities for the Rotorua Centra Hotel.

APR has been involved with a number of backpackers including new up-market chalets, reception, kitchen, restaurant and bar for the Kiwi Packa. New rooms with en-suites and reception for the Little Village and the overall design of Down Town Back Packers.

APR Architects undertook the conversion of the former Rotorua Police Station into one of the cities premier pubs. (hence the name which we suggested). The classic qualities of this historic building were preserved inside and out to achieve an attractive environment for the casual drinker and the serious gourmet.

Pig and Whistle

The original Lewishams Restaurant was one of Rotorua earliest quality wining and dinning establishments but not able to conform to the needs of today. APRs architects assisted the owner in producing a new Tyrolean themed restaurant with a state of the art kitchen.

On one of Rotorua’s Central City streets this client requested APR’s architects and interiror designers to turn an old house into an English Tea Room.
