This report was prepared for Tairawhiti District Health to assist TDH in it's review of the way that services were managed and conducted in the children's ward and paediatric outpatients.
The specific objectives were:
- To provide information to assist in determining the most appropriate management and support structure of the childrens ward
- To assess current service standards from the consumer's point of view, for both outpatient and inpatient services
- To assess the public perception of offering a 'clinical outreach service'
- To assess the current level of responsiveness to cultural requirements
- To assess the effectiveness of communication and information flows between the hospital staff and the consumer
