The Kaipara Economic Development Trust is a new entity established to facilitate economic development activity at a district level. The purpose of this strategy is to provide direction for the Trust as it develops its business plan and determines its activities for 2002/2003.

This strategy also identifies a number of issues with subsequent actions that requires the involvement of other agencies and the support of all of Kaipara's communities for the district to achieve greater prosperity.

The business plan of the Kaipara District Economic Development Trust sets clear, focused and measurable targets based on a strategic assessment of key priorities and resources available.
